The Prince’s Trust has published its annual Youth Index for 2019 looking at the views and outlooks of young people aged 16 to 25 in the UK. An online survey of 2,162 young people found that: 57 per cent of 16- to 25-year-olds said that social media creates an overwhelming pressure to succeed; 48 per cent said that they feel more anxious about their future when seeing the lives of their friends online; and half of young people report being more anxious than they were a year ago.
