What training is most useful for healthcare staff supporting people with learning disabilities?

I’m interested in hearing from people who work in health and social care about the training they have found most useful when supporting people with learning disabilities.

There are many areas that healthcare and care staff may need to understand, including communication, person-centred care, safeguarding, reasonable adjustments and recognising individual health needs.

From your experience, which areas of training do you think are most important for staff working with people with learning disabilities?

Are there any particular courses, resources or types of training that you have found especially useful in your work?

It would be great to hear different experiences and recommendations from people working in healthcare, social care and related roles.
