Inclusion Europe’s 2024 Europe in Action conference
Europe is Diversity, Equality, Inclusion.
The event is co-organized with Enable.
It will take place from 7 to 9 of May in Glasgow, Scotland.
We will meet there to talk about:
Developing self-advocacy and activism.
Changing disability support services to be person-led, and aligned with disability rights.
Celebrating good work being done for inclusion across Europe, including learning from others
Among the speakers there will be:
- Stephanie Gotlib from Australia. Stephanie is a highly experienced CEO in disability. She is also a disability advocate.
- Katarina Ivanković Knežević from the European Commission. She is the Director for Social Rights and Inclusion in the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission.
- Heather Gilchrist, from ENABLE Scotland.
- John Dalrymple and Frances Brown, from Radical Vision. They will talk about deinstitutionalisation in Scotland.
- Pheona Matovu and Micheal Matovu from Radiant & Brighter. they will talk about engaging with racialised communities.
- Theresa Shearer, from Scotland. She is the CEO of Enable and vice-president of Inclusion Europe.
