The Course
The Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) is considered as one of the ‘gold standard’ diagnostic instruments for assessing autism in children and adults. This comprehensive semi-structured interview is used by researchers and clinicians to assist in diagnosing autism and planning treatments. The ADI-R is used to obtain a detailed developmental history and to assess current symptoms, focusing on language and communication, social development and play, and restricted and repetitive interests and behaviours.
