Registration

Contributing to our online forums requires registration. You will be required to choose a username and give a valid email address.

By registering, you are giving us permission to email you for any matter relating to our website and/or online network.

Using our website and forums

Our website and network is a public place. They are searchable on the internet, unless you are posting in a part of them which is private to members, or to a group of members. By being part of the network you acknowledge this.

We request that you:

  • Protect the identity and privacy of other people.
  • Do not submit posts that are unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, sexually orientated or racially offensive.
  • Do not swear or use language that could offend other forum participants.
  • Do not advertise or promote products or services.
  • Do not spam or flood the forum. Only submit a comment once.
  • Do not resubmit the same, or similar, comments.
  • Keep your comments relevant to the discussion topic.
  • Do not breech other people’s copyright.

User Content

Without limiting any of those representations or warranties, we (including our moderators and administrators) have the right (though not the obligation) to, in our sole discretion, refuse or remove any content that, in our reasonable opinion, violates any of our policies or is in any way harmful or objectionable.

Cancellation or Suspension of Your Account

You may cancel your account at any time by emailing us using our contact form, which can be found here. We will endeavour to close your account within 48 hours.

Deleting Posts

Posts that have been made in our online forums cannot be deleted by members. Moderators and administrators have discretion to remove posts. This is normally only exercised in cases where there are privacy or safety concerns.

Anonymous Posting

At times, it may be appropriate to use the anonymous posting function. This will help protect your identity, as it will not relate your post to your previous posts. There are safety mechanisms in the system which allow the poster to be identified by the administrators of our forums.

Links to other websites

We are not responsible for the content of external websites, and links to external sites should not be taken as an endorsement of their content.

Accuracy of information

While we endeavour to ensure the information contained on our website UK Health and Learning Disabilities Network and within our network is accurate, we do not provide any guarantee that it is. It is your responsibility to check any information that is given is correct.
